Ice Monsters are sensitive to heat and cannot survive in warm temperatures for extended periods. While they have a natural tolerance for cold, prolonged exposure to excessive heat can weaken them and even be fatal if the temperatures surpass their limits. Additionally, like all Monsters, Ice Monsters possess a core that is the essence of their being. If this core is destroyed, it results in certain death, as it is vital to their survival.
Ice Monsters spend about 120 hours of their week awake, with the remaining 40 hours spent dormant. Their activity is not governed by a strict schedule, as they do not have an activity rate based on time. Instead, their behavior is shaped by the harsh environment they inhabit.
Unlike the other species, Ice Monsters are the only ones known to actively hunt due to the scarcity of resources on their planet. They typically eat twice a day, once around noon (10:00) and again at dusk (16:00). Because food is limited, they often skip the preparation of their prey and consume it whole, sometimes even swallowing it alive. Their thick skin protects their insides from the small claws and teeth of their prey while it squirms and claws at their insides. Some argue that eating their prey whole feels more filling than if it were cooked or prepared into a proper meal.
Ice Monsters do not digest their meals like their Human counterparts. When they ingest food, their bodies preserve the contents, slowly freezing it and breaking it down into small particles that are then converted into energy. They also possess a core like their Lava counterpart. This core is the essence of their being, the single source that sustains their life. If it is destroyed, they cease to exist.
