Ben is a survivor of the Eclipse, which claimed his entire family and left him physically scarred, missing his left arm and right eye. Orphaned and hardened by loss, Ben’s journey took an unexpected turn when he was adopted by Fred’s family, who belong to the very colony that destroyed his own, the Lights. Torn between past traumas and present loyalties, Ben struggles to reconcile his hatred with the bonds he’s formed in his new life.
