The Lava monsters

The Lava Monsters’ society has long been ruled by a unique system based on strength and combat prowess. Historically, the title of Noble was reserved for the strongest and most competent of the Monsters, individuals who earned their leadership positions through sheer force and victory in brutal combat. This power structure had nothing to do with the Rulers, but rather revolved around the concept of the Power duel, a challenge where one could question the competence of a reigning leader. To maintain their position, the leader would need to defeat the challenger and only one could emerge victorious. However, if the challenger would accept defeat amidst the duel and the emperor was a merciful one, they could grant their opponent "the Emperor’s mercy", this allowed the challenger to live, but with the irrevocable consequence of never being able to challenge again.

Sir William, the current Emperor of the Lava Monsters, ascended to his position in a way that remains the only method of obtaining the ultimate power, by slaying the former leader in a vicious duel. This act of strength and determination cemented his role as the Emperor and from then on, his competence was unquestioned by his people, earning him both their loyalty and fear.

In modern times, however, the title of Noble has evolved. It is now bestowed by the Emperor on high-ranking civilians who have proven themselves worthy of special status. The title is also automatically granted to the family members of the current leader. Nobles enjoy numerous benefits and privileges, living in comfort far above the general population. To identify their elite status, Nobles often wear a Red badge and are adorned with golden accessories, though not all follow this tradition.

Power duel

The Power Duel is a pivotal event where the current Emperor is challenged to a fight in the arena. This contest is known across the Lava planet and typically results in one of the combatants’ death. Any Lava Monster can challenge the reigning emperor, believing they are a more fit leader. To win, they must defeat the Emperor in combat. However, there is a chance for mercy, the reigning emperor can grant 'the Emperor's mercy’, sparing the challenger’s life but preventing them from ever challenging again. Only the emperor has the authority to grant this mercy, otherwise, the fight ends with the challenger’s death if they cannot claim victory.

Blazing tournament

The Blazing Tournament is an annual event organized by the nobles of the Lava planet. It spans several days and pits teams of Lava Monsters against one another in various challenges, some team-based and others individual. The event is fierce but friendly, with the reward for the winning team varying each year. The standout performer, named the MVP, is granted a prestigious Noble title, further elevating their status in society.

Monster Bal

The Monster Bal is a grand social gathering held for all Lava Monsters. This ballroom event allows Monsters to come together in a formal setting, dress in attire befitting their species, and wear masks that represent their Monster form. It’s a night of dancing, drinking and conversation, a chance for monsters to socialize and make connections. Despite its celebratory nature, there’s a strict dress code, ensuring everyone looks their best while remaining true to their unique identities.
