The Lava monsters
Intro
The Lava monsters are a group of people living on the Lava planet. They are a known for being the strongest life forms in their planetary system. They're known for their strength. Lava monsters are known for their ability to withstand extreme environments but also their rare ability to transform into their monster form. A strong, animalistic form that they often use as a last resort in combat.
Their kind is currently under leadership of sir William.
Weaknesses
-Cold: Lava monsters cannot survive in low temperatures. Of course their well isolated bodies allow them to temporarily survive in such environments but the longer they stay in cold areas the slower and weaker they become, often this leads them harden up (similar to slipping into a coma for us) in which case they don't warm up soon, they'll never wake up from again.
-Core destruction: when a monster's core is destroyed, this will guarantee a fatality.
Planet
-Cycles: a full day and night cycle lasts about 20 hours here, their weeks consist of eight days.
-Climate: the average temperature ranges from 800°c to 1300°c depending on which chamber you're in.
Traits
-Sleep: Lava monsters spend about 120 hours of their week awake while they go dormant for about 40 hours.
-Cathemeral: thanks to living inside of their planet instead of the surface they do not experience a day and night cycle on their planet. Meaning monsters don't have a concept of time and just sleep whenever they feel tired.
-Nutrition: Their planet provides more than enough delicious nutrition that they don't have a reason to hunt. Their preferred diet are foods that involve lots of flammable ingredients. Anything that burns nicely!
-Meals: Lava monsters ideally eat twice a day, around noon (10:00) and at dusk (16:00).
Body
-Digestion: Lava monsters do not produce waste like their Human counterpart, meaning when ingesting meals they simply burn this inside their body, causing a reaction that keeps them warm inside. Eating too much can cause a temporary growth spurt and energy boost but will end up making them feeling very fatigued afterwards.
-Cores: Lava monsters are in possession of a core in the location of that where a Human heart would be. This is the core of their being, the sole thing keeping them alive. When destroyed, they stop existing.
-Structure: Lava monsters are mostly made up of a very viscous substance under their well isolated layer of 'skin'. If you were to cut through this thick isolation you would be met with magma flowing inside!
-Temperature: The ideal body temperature for Lava monsters is a minimum of 800°c, thanks to their isolated skin their surface temperature is about 46°c. Thanks to this they always have this warm aura around them!
Events
-Power duel: A power duel is when the current emperor is challenged to a fight in the arena, this event is known across the planet and often leads in one of the two contestants deceased. How it works is that anyone can challenge their current leader in believe that they are more suitable for the position, how ever they need to proof this by fighting the current emperor, the winner than stays or becomes emperor. Thankfully this doesn't always result in death as the current emperor can grant their opponent 'the emperor's mercy', only the current emperor can do this, the challenger will have to kill to win.
-Blaze tournament: The blaze tournament is a fun and friendly event organized by the nobles of the Lava planet, it's an event that plays over the course of a few days where teams of monsters have to go through various challenges up against other teams. Some being team challenges and others being individual ones. The reward for the winning team varies from year to year, the MVP of the tournament is granted a noble title.
Trivia
-Since religion isn't present, the way they curse is more directed to life & death.
-Thanks to their unique digestive system, their bathrooms don't include toilets like on Earth.
-One of the most disrespectful gestures to do is to 'blow' at someone. Blowing a kiss for us is cute but for them it would be like putting up your middle finger. It's offensive and a way of saying 'I long for the day you burn out'.
-In a form of solidarity to their leader, the Lava monsters often are seen wearing shades of red.
Light cycles
On the Lava planet, it doesn't matter what time of day it is thanks to it being an interlocked planet. The Lava side of the planet is always facing Maro, meaning it is technically always day time.
This is a good illustration how the planets are set in their planetary system. All the planets orbit around Maro, while San orbits around the Light planet as well! Both the Shadow and the Lava/Ice planet are interlocked and always face the same side of their stars. Meanwhile the Light planet does have a rotation along with its own star. All these bodies rotate around Maro at the same pace.
